Spike

Hey there!!! Spike says, "woof"! (sent by Alexia)

Janice and SpikeSpike is a dream-come-true. Things are going great for us. Spike has already learned how to play fetch with a tennis ball (I never thought he would be able to fit it in his mouth!), he even brings it back!! He has adopted two of my daughter's beanie babies who suffer his gnawing abuse daily. Spike is doing very well with his training and responds to "sit" and "come" consistently.

He is the best snuggle buddy, and has gained quite a bit of confidence. He isn't nearly as shy as he was, and has become quite curious rather than fearful, when meeting new people. He already has two good furry friends "Noah" - a beautiful and energetic yellow lab (who is like a nephew to us). And Jackie Chan (also a "relative", a great orange three legged cat who has survived amazing feats- who also grew up with pugs, and loves small dogs (he is bigger than Spike- which we find hilarious).

Spike is fantastic off the leash when we go for hikes. We average one big hike in the morning, and about three more walks throughout the day. Our energy levels and needs could not have been better suited.

Spike and I are going up to Whitehorse on Thursday for his booster and so that he can be neutered. We will be sure to drop in and say hi when he is recovered.
