TUSHI (a.k.a. Curly) News from Jay
Tushi a.k.a. Curly is doing great, a bit af a piddler and a bit of a nipper, but so very very smart!!! She already knows Sit and Shake a paw, and she is learning Lay down and outside. She is full of energy and is happy to greet me when ever we come home. She gets lots of exercise in our back yard, and I have started taking her on walks. She is already pretty good on the leash. I'm sure she's growing by the hour, I have already adjusted her collar twice since she came home with us.
She is still in the chewing phaze there are teeth marks on my computer chairs desk, and my old pair of shoes. She likes to cuddle up to my feet when I'm on the computer, or watching T.V. Last Friday I put her to sleep in her crate and she whined until 2:00p.m. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I just kept taking her outside, then just as I finaly dosed she would start howling again, till Rebecca asked me if she had her shoe, so I go out and put her shoe in the crate and she fell right asleep.
She eats EVERYTHING!!!! Leaves, grass, dandylions, bark, paper, cardboard, etc... I was pretty concerned at first cuz she eats a lot of leaves, then I did some research and found out it is a pretty common trait among puppies, I even read some stories about dogs earing whole socks, underwear and bras. So we keep our laundry in the hampers. I got her a all natural carrot flavored raw hide bone on Saturday and it's pretty well half gone already, I have also started giving her some fruits and veggies in small amounts. She likes Carrots, brocoli, apple, grapes, zucinii, peppers, and onions, thats right onions I couldn’t believe it, I have never heard of any dog liking onions.
I have lots of pictures and I'll send some as soon as I get them on my computer, also a friend ( who happens to be a photographer) of mine has offered to take some photos of her. I'll make them into Christmas cards or something.
We will be taking her to obedience school as soon as she is old enough. I think it will be a great oportunity for her and us to learn some new things and it will give her a chance to socialize with some other K9s.
She gets along with every one and when we have visitors or take her to some ones house she loves the attention, and she is well behaved. She dosn’t fuss to much she just likes to play...ALOT!!!! She also sleeps a fair bit to, I read that they can sleep anywhere from 15 to 18 hours a day, must be nice.
Tushi is a wonderful addition to our home, and a really good companion, I couldn’t have asked for a better puppy. She's smart and very funny, there hasn't been a day go by where she hasn't made me laugh. The other day I was playing with her and the phone rang, so I answer it and she still wanted to play, so I was wriggling my toes at her while talking, just trying to keep her busy. She starts growling and barking, and pouncing and I just cracked up.
